Administrative and Technology Coordinator

Summary/Objective
The Administrative and Technology Coordinator handles administrative and organizational tasks to support the Father Dyer church office as well as technology support to ensure that videos, pictures, PowerPoint, and other media are smoothly integrated and presented at the Sunday morning worship service at Father Dyer Methodist Church. This position reports to the Pastor.

Essential Job Functions

  • Performs a wide variety of administrative tasks to support the daily operations of the church office such as responding to emails and phone calls, managing office supplies and other duties as assigned.
  • Works collaboratively with staff and committee members and interacts with the church community.
  • Edit and maintain church website and social media platforms on a weekly basis.
  • Assist the Pastor in the preparation for Sunday or special worship services by creating audio-visual presentations and worship bulletins as necessary.
  • Create and send weekly email newsletters to inform the congregation about upcoming events and sermon information.
  • Setup and operate audio-visual systems during weekly worship service (Sunday 8:00-10:30 am).
  • Ensure the worship service is available in real-time for people to watch from home and also recorded and available after the service.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a related administrative position.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, courteously, and effectively.
  • Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Proven experience in managing websites and software programs such as Office365 and Google suite.
  • Technical experience with audio-visual systems or willingness to learn new systems.
  • Availability to work during normal business hours. Schedule can be flexible.
  • Required hours: Sundays, 8:00-10:30 am and Christmas Eve for worship Services.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a positive, though not required.

Type of Position

  • Full-time, Non-exempt, 35 hours per week, 5 days a week.
  • Hourly rate of $28-$30 commensurate with experience and education.
  • Paid time off includes holidays, vacation, and sick time.
