Development & Event Manager
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Development and Event Manager will advance the fundraising goals of the National Repertory
Orchestra (NRO). Working closely with the Director of Development, this role supports donor relations,
fundraising campaigns, event planning and execution, and data analytics to strengthen the organization’s
impact, support the mission, and create long-term sustainability.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Development and Event Manager reports to the Director of Development and is part of the year-round
team. They will work closely with the senior management team as well as the CEO.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising & Donor Engagement
• Support all aspects of the NRO’s fundraising strategy.
• Assist with grant writing; prepare tax acknowledgment letters, stewardship reports, and donor
recognition.
• Draft donor communications, including appeal letters and targeted campaigns.
• Manage donor benefit communications and fulfillment while helping strengthen the donor pipeline.
Event Management

• Coordinate event logistics, including invitations, RSVPs, setup, catering, and guest experience.
• Partner with the marketing team to promote events and ensure consistent branding.

• Ensure data integrity and compliance with donor privacy standards.
Cross-Departmental Support

NRO.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills with donors, volunteers, and staff.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace, CRM systems; proficiency in DonorPerfect is
a plus.
• Proficiency with data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of classical music and/or nonprofit arts administration is a plus.
• Collaborative team player with a passion for the arts, fundraising, and events.
• Alignment with the mission and values of the National Repertory Orchestra.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Compensation and Benefits
• Salary: Commensurate with experience and performance; approximately $50,000-$70,000/year.
• Bonus: Year-end merit-based bonus structure.
