Domus Pacis Family Respite will host its first annual Benefit Dinner and old fashioned Cake Auction. Dinner will include a selection of home cooked chili and mac-n-cheese dishes. Following the dinner, a ?spirited? cake auction is anticipated, with cakes being baked and donated by friends of the Domus Pacis Family Respite. Quite a diversity of baked goods have been pledged: Upside-Down cake, Triple chocolate cake, Tiramisu, "Doll" cake, White cake with fresh strawberries, Carrot cake, "Worms in Dirt" cake, a tofu chezcake, plus lots of "what-the-spirit-moves-me-to-bake" cakes. The auctioneer is looking forward to a hungry, lively and generous crowd! The mission of Domus Pacis Family Respite is to provide families impacted by cancer, a week of peace and respite in our beautiful mountain environment utilizing donated rental properties and services. All proceeds from the event will be used to provide meals for families during their stay in Summit County.
