Featured artist Fritz Anders creates amazing Pyrographics, designs burned into wood. Fritz looks for patterns in each piece of wood, utilizing knots for eyes, the moon etc., and the grain for animal fur, facial features, clouds and other details. He uses a series of burns for additional details, sanding, layers of colored wood stain and a variety of finishes to complete the image. This makes each piece very unique and gives a 3 dimensional affect to the pictures. He finishes them with handmade wood frames. Fritz states he enjoys adding a whimsical side to many of the pictures. Visualizing and developing each piece, he incorporates a realism that portrays a presence, an experience or a moment in life. More than just a picture, something is always happening in his work. Titles are carefully chosen to reflect the story behind the picture; many incorporate well known sayings, titles or phrases.
