About the Band(s):
Mike Woodard: Mountain troubadour Mike Woodard enjoys connecting with his audience through music and is often compared to a “live jukebox”. Having traveled extensively playing to audiences world-wide, Woodard has found his heart and home in the mountains of Colorado. For the last 14 years he has been entertaining Colorado Après ski crowds playing both original music and cover songs of all genres live on request. With a huge cover song repertoire of over 500 songs, Woodard combines his strong vocals and smooth guitar playing taking the audience on a Choose Your Own-style musical adventure.
Split Window: A BIG INTERNATIONAL SOUND FROM THE ACTUAL SOUTH PARK, COLORADO. Split Window is a large ensemble. Performing with as many as 12 musicians, the band is able to approach many genres. They are known for upbeat, danceable music with a positive message and socially conscious lyrics. The band started in 2012 as a duo by Julian Daknis and Jodi Messa and has since become the premier dance band of the Rockies in Colorado. Split Window has been voted the best band in Park County 6 years in a row now through The Flume’s (local newspaper) People’s Choice Awards.
Split Window’s music has been aired on many local radio stations in the Summit County area such as Krystal 93, KSMT The Mountain, and The LIFT FM. They were also a guest on KRFC 88.9 Live at Lunch on November 29, 2019. The band has opened for and shared the stage with such acts as Melvin Seals & JGB, The New Orleans Suspects, Anthony B, and EarthKry. They have performed at such venues as the Riverwalk Center (Breckenridge, CO), 10 Mile Music Hall (Frisco, CO), Silverthorne Pavilion (Silverthorne, CO), The Goat Soup & Whiskey (Keystone, CO), The Lariat (Buena Vista, CO), The Toad Tavern (Littleton, CO), YMH (Denver, CO), and Cervantes Other Side (Denver, CO).
Split Window is an official TRIBE Artist of World Music Development (a Colorado-based 501c3 non-profit organization). They help in raising funds, through concerts, for local causes in Summit and Park Counties which deal with issues of education, housing, nutrition, healthcare, and economic development. In 2018 and 2019 they helped raise over $150K for different benefits and causes in the Summit and Park Counties.
