Description
Celebrate National Public Lands day by joining several projects focusing on forest restoration in Summit County, located in the heart of the White River National Forest. To provide safe, sustainable, and esthetically pleasing forest for hikers, bikers, motorized users, and equestrians; volunteers will spend the day on several types of forest restoration projects. Volunteers should dress for a day on the trail - bring water, lunch, work gloves, layered clothing including long pants, sturdy boots, sunglasses, sun hat, sunscreen, and insect repellent, for an enjoyable day. Meet at 8:30 for coffee and bagels to start the day, then following the work day FDRD will host a Volunteer Celebration Picnic celebrating the summer?s accomplishments.
