Description
Warren Station and the River Run Village officially welcome the 22/23 Winter season with a FUN holiday celebration! Get into the spirit of the holidays with this lively event that welcomes winter to our lovely ski town. Warren Station will be alive with live music, a photo booth, face painting, crafts, and other holiday surprises for the entire family. Families can warm up in the Warren Station ballroom with hot chocolates, apple ciders, & toddy, handmade cocktails, wine, and beer specials making for a perfect, all-ages affair to prelude the Lighting of River Run Village.
Outside in the events plaza, the kids can see Santa, drop their letters into the North Pole mailbox, and grab themselves a complimentary cup of hot chocolate and fresh-baked cookie, while supplies last. Donโt forget to have the kiddos stop by the Salida Circus tent to try their hand at some circus tricks!
Join us outside in the village for an hour of caroling from the Summit Choral Society from 4:15 pm-5:15 pm, concluding with The Lighting of the River Run Tree at 5:15 pm. Bring out the whole family as we light up the village to kick off the holiday season at Keystone!
About the Band: Frisco Funk Collective
The Frisco Funk Collective creates a high-energy, funk-fueled dance party with every show. Since its inception in 2015, the group has grown to be the premiere high Rockies powerhouse of funk. Named 2018, 2019, and 2020 Best Band in the Best of Summit review, the Collectiveโs unmistakable energy fills dance floors in Summit County and beyond. The Collective's rhythm section is rooted with bassist and founder Tyler Easton and renowned Venezuelan jazz drummer Leo Lopez. With Jon Neiman on tenor sax, Emily Durbin on Vocals, and Eric James on guitar, the Collective creates an immersive experience that engages new and old fans alike. Together, The Frisco Funk Collective is an avalanche that crushes every performance.
The Collective creates a blend of jazz-inspired improvisation, New Orleansโs style grooves, and high-energy dance beats. Influential artists such as Herbie Hancock, The Meters, Lettuce, John Scofield, Sly, and the Family Stone, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Weather Report, and more have helped shape the vision and direction the band has taken.
No two Collective shows are the same with an expanding repertoire, a growing list of original songs, and the Collective's unique style of improvising that evolves songs into epic journeys
