Recruiting and Training Manager

The Human Resources department seeks a Recruitment and Training Manager. This position is responsible for management of talent acquisition and HR-related training initiatives across Breckenridge Grand Vacations (BGV). This includes managing companywide recruitment efforts, optimizing recruitment processes, and developing and delivering training programs to support leadership and staff knowledge of HR-related materials. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the alignment of recruitment strategies with business goals. Additionally, this position involves overseeing the performance of a bilingual Recruitment and Onboarding Specialist. The Recruitment and Training Manager will ensure that all touchpoints with candidates, new hires, employees, and managers reflect our commitment to “Sharing Smiles.” The application window closes on March 28th.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Including but not limited to:
Talent Acquisition and Onboarding:
- Manage and execute the recruitment strategy for BGV, driving the sourcing, screening, and hiring of top-tier talent across all organizational levels while ensuring promotion of BGV’s employee value proposition and culture of “Sharing Smiles.”
- Oversee recruitment processes for all departments, ensuring alignment with the BGV’s culture, growth plans, strategic objectives, and workforce needs. Manage processing VISA applications, and onboarding international employees, ensuring compliance with relevant immigration laws. Oversee candidate screening, interviewing, and selection to ensure the process is thorough and fair.
- Identify sourcing channels and ensure effective candidate sourcing methods are being used, including job boards, social media, job fairs, etc. Ensure consistent promotion of the company’s brand through all sources. Work to develop a talent pool for current and future hiring needs.
- Stay current on industry trends and recruitment best practices, continuously innovating and enhancing the talent acquisition process. Advise management on recruitment trends and talent market conditions.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations in all recruitment and HR activities, regularly reviewing and updating policies.
- Regularly evaluate recruitment and onboarding systems, processes, software, and workload distribution to ensure efficiency and operational excellence, adjusting as needed.
- Leverage analytics and performance metrics to provide data-driven insights into recruitment strategies and outcomes such as time-to-fill, source success rate, etc.
- Partner with the HR Director on optimization of the recruitment and training budget.
- Oversee the onboarding process, along with HR weekly orientation, to ensure new hires are welcomed effectively.
Training and Development:
- Design, implement, and manage HR-focused training programs for both employees and leadership, in close collaboration with HR subject matter experts.
- Oversee training analytics, tracking effectiveness through key metrics and continuously refining programs to drive meaningful outcomes.
- Ensure that all training programs comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Serve as a resource for the Employee Engagement Department, assisting with HR-related materials that promote company culture, service standards, and employee engagement initiatives.
Supervision and HR Leadership:
- Manage Recruitment and Onboarding staff and follow the Results Leadership operating procedures when recruiting, hiring, training, retaining, developing, coaching, scheduling, evaluating, disciplining, and terminating staff.
- Ensure all training is thorough, occurring on a regular basis, conducted in a manner that drives results and ensures consistent staff knowledge and performance.
- Delegate daily work tasks and projects and check the work of all staff to ensure quality control. Ensure staff is productive.
- Work with staff to resolve issues, always considering what the employee or leader deems appropriate.
- Handle any employee or leader situation that the staff is unable to assist.
- Perform staff evaluations and coaching meetings. Provide feedback and coach employees on ways to improve their performance and establish goals. Follow up with employees to evaluate progress and ensure improvement.
- Establish, communicate, and reinforce Company policies, procedures, and standards with all employees.
- Handle timesheet corrections, time off approvals and the proper review and approval of bi-weekly staff timesheets by HR deadline.
- Attend monthly Resort Operations and departmental meetings to foster strong relationships with leaders, ensuring that HR initiatives align with business goals.
- Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with department leaders, acting as a trusted advisor on talent acquisition and HR-training needs.
- Consistently “Share Smiles” and maintain a high level of customer service for all HR staff, BGV employees, and BGV leaders; maintain, enforce, and respond to inquiries pertaining to Company policies, procedures, and systems as an HR team leader.
- Assist the Human Resources Director or HR Team with special projects, as needed. Provide support and coverage for the HR department, as needed.
- Uphold and ensure all staff uphold the Hospitality Standards, Company Culture, Department Core Standards and observe Company policies and procedures.
- Be the “End of the Line” and resolve every situation inherited, not passing it along, whenever possible.
- Follow up on any situation that is not fully resolved at the time of the initial request.
- Strive to close the loop (alleviate or eliminate issues) on any situations that cannot be fully resolved.
- Respond promptly to all email and voicemail correspondence.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all contacts, always being helpful and courteous.
- Always adhere to Company appearance standards, dress professionally and wear name badge when required.
- Attend, support, develop and/or conduct company training sessions and department meetings. Attend outside training sessions as needed.
MARGINAL DUTIES: Functions that are not considered essential to the job:
- Perform all duties, of the positions that directly report to this position, as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned.
- Follow Company guidelines for environmental sustainability practices (recycling, composting and conserving resources) and participate in the Company’s sustainability initiatives.

- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with leaders and employees.
- Proficient in HR software, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and training management tools. BGV is currently utilizing Paylocity as our human capital management (HCM) software.
- Analytical mindset with experience in data reporting and metric-based decision-making.
- Knowledge of HR laws and regulations related to recruitment and training.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, and training management.
- Proven experience in leading recruitment efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
CERTIFICATIONS and/or LICENSES: Professional in Human Resources certification preferred. Valid driver license and reliable mode of transportation to travel between properties required.
SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE: 2 years' previous supervisory experience preferred. This position directly supervises 1 staff member, currently.
LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred.
